Halong Bay, Hanoi Final Days And Hoi An

Here are some more pics of our last morning on Halong bay including kayaking, watching the local fisherman and being shown how to prepare spring rolls.
After returning to Hanoi for the last night, we went out for dinner and then visited the night markets.
The next morning we flew to Da Nang airport and transferred to Hoi an by bus.
The resort we are spending a few nights at is magnificent, and we are taking the opportunity to take it easier and recharge the batteries. After arriving we checked out the facilities, had coffee and cake then took the courtesy shuttle bus into town to explore.
Hoi an town has some distinct areas with the focus around the ancient quarter and the river. It is world renowned for it's tailors and dressmakers. We were followed constantly by locals asking us how we were and trying to convince us to come to their shop. During dinner at a local restaurant, many street vendors (including children) would come up to your table and try and sell you their trinkets. When we left the restaurant this continued on the streets with the children asking you to "buy their products so they could go to school". They were very well trained.
Hoi an is very colourful with thousand of lanterns lit at night around the town. We walked around town until about 9:30 and visited their night market were we brought some art from a street artist as well as some other knick knacks.
We managed to navigate our way back to the courtesy bus pick up point and headed back to the resort to get ready for our cycling tour the next day.
